1.Hello, I would like to let everyone know that Joe has been shoeing for me for 12 years and he has always done a good job. I also have a mare that had laminates 6 years ago and Joe has done miracles with her. She had a hard time walking without being in pain and Joe did some special shoeing to get rid of the pain and I have been able to ride her with no problems. Joe has always been on time and fair with all of his work. I would strongly recommend to use Joe as your farrier.

I had the good fortune to find Joe in 1996, three years after moving to Corning from Sacramento. In that short time, I had used at least three other farriers. I don't think of myself as "overpicky," but I want my horses treated right. I want someone who realizes when they are uncomfortable, or just being unruly and gives them the benefit of the doubt. I expect my horses to behave and stand quietly. I won't have a farrier work with them until I feel I've done my job in teaching them what to expect. I do realize that horses have "days" just as we do and they won't always be perfect.
Joe has never lost his cool and seems to know just how much discipline they need and actually displays more patience than I would have. I have also witnessed him stopping his work when a friend's new gelding kept pulling his hind foot and you could tell the horse was becoming more and more agitated. So instead of trying to fight with him and probably getting hurt, Joe had the good sense to quit until the horse could be trained a bit more. This put him even a bit higher, in my eyes, than someone that would have pressed his luck. Joe has always answered my messages in a timely manner and has never left me waiting. If something ever came up, he made sure I knew ahead of time, so I wouldn't wonder if I'd been forgotten. I, as you can probably tell, highly recommend Joe Hoffman.

We board cutting horses and Joe was our exclusive farrier. He knew exactly how to apply trailers to the hind shoes to facilitate a sharp cut and stop. We also own two Tennessee Walkers that my wife and I ride. Joe would make toe weighted shoes to animate their gate. These shoes caused our Walkers to deliver a terrific ride and we always received compliments from others about the elegant gaits of our horses. I would highly recommend Joe as a top level farrier.

Over the years, I have had to deal with many different Farriers for my horses. I barrel race and show working stock horses.
I met Joe Hoffman in 1996. I was in desperate need of a horseshoer that would listen, know and understand what I needed and wanted so that my horse; Poco Bar Leona, (AKA Babbs) could turn-n-burn. He made special hot shoes for Babbs. It worked and I went to state and won a championship. It was because of Joe.
In 2003, I had my stallion, Leo's Saltwater Taffy finished trained. I won 4th overall in the state and Joe was my Farrier then, too.
Joe was injured and not able to shoe for a long time and I had to repeatedly try to find a new shoer, but not one of them was ANY good for me. Now, Joe Hoffman is back and already, he has solved a shoeing problem that I had with my cow horse; Niner.
People ask: "Who does your shoeing," because they like the way it looks. I tell them; Joe Hoffman and all about his work. I pray that I do not ever have to look for another Horseshoer again.
Thank you Joe.
