When you hire somebody to perform a service for you, be it heating and air conditioning, a plumber, electrician, (or any contractor), or for that matter, a dentist, doctor, accountant, attorney, mechanic…whatever, you are paying your hard earned money for somebody else's knowledge, skill and experience and you have every right to expect to get your money's worth! When you hire me, it is in my view; my obligation and pleasure to deliver the finest possible service and craftsmanship that I can... again… you are spending your hard-earned money on nothing less!

I cannot deliver the best service unless a horse will stand to be shod. A horse's ground manners are the responsibility of the owner/trainer. I realize that this is obvious to most people, but unfortunately there are many exceptions. Of course, horses are living animals and they move, but if I have to fight to get to their feet, I reserve the right to make the decision to stop work and a $50.00 fee will be charged for time spent.

In any other potentially dangerous occupation, (construction for example), OSHA [closely] monitors safety regulations and procedures. In the farrier industry, the responsibility for personal safety rests with the farrier…"implied risk."
